Welcome to Emagameni ... "The Place of Names". This website is dedicated to my father, Thomas Edmund Andrews.

Tom Andrews left a life long legacy of valuable articles, books and information of Pretoria and South Africa’s place names, that will benefit generations of all South African’s irrespective of race, colour or religion.

Tom Andrews was born on 28 October 1924 in Germiston, and passed away on 5 July 2002.  His ashes finding their final resting place at Pioneer Gate, in the Church Street Cemetery, Pretoria.
